September 2017 saw insurers embracing the idea  of a socio-economic ecosystem built around the sharing of human, physical and intellectual resources, ‘the shared economy’, and seeking to capatilise on these associated new markets and revenue streams.  Furthermore insurers are increasingly leveraging new technologies such as blockchain on cloud solutions in order to deliver transparent, on-demand solutions for customers.
